My name is Ruta Stasiunaite and I was born and raised in Lithuania. Early on I decided to broaden my horizons and moved abroad for the first time in 2011. This led me to live, study and work in five different countries, spending time in various positions in the corporate and startup world ever since.
Although it seemed like a successful life to the people around, something didn’t feel quite right to me. The problem was I did not know what it was. So one day, I decided to find it out, by myself and with the help of professionals.
I started asking myself some pretty deep questions. Is this how I want to live my life? Who am I really? What makes my heart beat that little bit faster, and my cells dance? How can I do more of it? That’s when I truly started getting to know myself better.
Step by step, my passion for personal growth and psychology led me to believe that each of us has enormous potential, which we often struggle to uncover and utilise in the best way possible. I could not believe how many people had the same questions I did.
And finally, transformational coaching came into my life – I joined the ICF accredited Animas Centre for Coaching. Now, after leaving the corporate world, I go on journeys with individuals who wish to find answers to their questions, from lifestyles to mindsets, and careers to relationships.
I feel blessed to have the chance of working with people who are eager to improve their lives. And am positive that anyone can transform the way they live and feel every day.
I share more of my thoughts in this article.
My mission is to help people take a shortcut to a fulfilled and happy life.
2019: learning the art of Transformational Coaching at Animas Centre for Coaching.
2012-2014: studying at the Technical University of Berlin and the University of Twente while working part time.
2008-2012: adult life begins! Studying at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University and getting my very first job as a dance studio Office Manager.
I was born in Šiauliai, a town in the North of Lithuania, back when Soviet Union still existed. Growing up with my parents and older brother I remember spending a lot of time in the nature with them.
When I finished high school at the age of 18, I wanted to discover what I considered back then as “bigger opportunities” in the capital city of 0,5 million people. Later on I realized it was still rather tiny.
My first extended stay abroad in 2011. That’s when I realised I was not going to stay in my home country for much longer.
In 2012 after finishing my Bachelor studies in Vilnius, I decided to move abroad for real. Although it wasn’t love at first sight, Berlin didn’t give up on me and eventually managed to find a place in my heart.
In 2013 I moved to Enschede, bringing my Master’s degree to its end. This made it the fourth country I had lived in!
Back in early 2014 I decided to follow my heart and moved to the capital city of Belgium where my then-partner was based in.
My work as a Project Manager meant I was constantly traveling internationally, gaining insight into many various working environments.
After a couple of years in Brussels, in June 2016, I decided to return to Berlin – the city I have come to call home.
Changing jobs still left me feeling unfulfilled, so I decided to explore what it was I truly wanted to do in this world. In early 2019 I started co-organizing the monthly Purpose in Action meetup where we talk about turning our dreams into reality (come join us!). That’s when the fog started to slowly fade away…
For a very long time I felt like I had lots of interests, and yet no one single passion to build my life around. Everything started changing when I realized that one can have various purposes in life. It requires you to remain open to the opportunities thrown at you. If you do what feels right, you will find your path.
What I Stand For
Freedom to me is being true to myself. Not being afraid to live according to what I value and wish for. It means doing what feels right by letting go of expectations and beliefs that hold me back. Imagine a world where people wouldn't think a second about what others think... Freedom is being comfortable in my own skin every day!
Fulfillment is the connection between who you truly are and what you do in your everyday life. You may very well know what you want in life, but only once you start making it your reality, it will bring you fulfillment. Finding the strength to break away from old patterns and create the life you desire authentically - that’s true fulfillment!
Wisdom is having your own voice, instead of being blinded by what society tells you. For as long as I can remember I’ve been trying to “fit in” to reach success everyone was talking about. Now, I finally understand that success is relative and I couldn't be more grateful for realizing it early enough. Be wise and follow your own path!
